Notes: The first round of the presidential elections was scheduled for 25 September 2007 to elect a successor to replace President Emile Lahoud whose term expires on 24 November 2007. The session was adjourned to 23 October 2007 due to the lack of a two-thirds quorum, and then to 12 November 2007, and then rescheduled for 21 November 2007 to give more time for consultations to reach agreement on a president. The session was further postponed for a fourth time to 23 November 2007 the last day of President Lahoud's presidential term. On 23 November 2007, the session was postponed to 30 November 2007 then to 7 December 2007 and then to 11 December 2007. However, on 10 December 2007, the session was postponed to 17 December 2007 then to 22 December 2007, and then for the tenth time to 29 December 2007, then further postponed to 12 January 2008, and then to 21 January 2008. On 20 January 2008, the parliamentary session was postponed for the thirteenth time to 11 February 2008, then to 26 February 2008, then to 11 March 2008 and then to 25 March 2008. On 25 March 2008 the parliamentary session was postponed for the seventeenth time to 22 April 2008. On 22 April 2008 Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri announced the postponement of the session for the eighteenth time due to the lack of a two-thirds quorum and without assigning a date for the next session. On 26 April 2008 Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri set 13 May 2008 as a new date for electing a president. On 12 May 2008, the parliamentary session was postponed to 10 June 2008.
